What are MagWall NZ SIP panels made of?
Magwall NZ SIP panels are made from EPS (expanded polystyrene) and MgS04 (magnesium sulfate board).
Can MagWall NZ SIP panels be used for floors and ceilings?
Yes, Magwall NZ SIP panels are incredibly strong and great for ceilings - in fact you may be able to use your attic space as a functional area in your house!
Magwall NZ also produces a floor SIP called Magfloor, to keep your toes warm.
Will I need a specialised builder or architect?
Magwall NZ SIP panels are a simple construction method that can be quickly learned. If you have a builder or architect in mind, send them our way! We are happy to provide training and resources.
Do MagWall NZ SIP panels meet NZ building standards?
Building to meet minimum NZ building standards isn’t good enough.
Magwall NZ SIP panels exceed NZ building standards.
Will using MagWall SIP panels restrict what I am able to build?
Almost any building can be made with SIP panels, including your new home, and any building that needs to be energy efficient.
Are SIP panels a new technology?
SIP panels have been around for a while, but with the cost of energy increasing and the relative cost of building with SIPs decreasing, SIP panels are increasing in popularity.
SIPs produce a high performance building, and interest in SIPs as a superior structural component grew with the success of SIP constructed buildings still standing after the 1993 Kobe earthquake in Japan, and more recent hurricanes in the southeastern United States.
